Why Isn't Yellen Issuing More Long Duration US Treasuries?
With higher borrowing requirements and advantageous market conditions, Treasury should be issuing more longer-term duration securities. But they aren't. Why? Seems political to me.
Some thoughts about the upcoming QRA meeting at the end of July and the prospect of increased duration issuance by the Treasury for the rest of the year and beyond.
